Object Description:
Jorge de la Vega explores in his drawings a new way of representing human and animal figures, which became key subjects of his work during the early 1960s. In “Los geólogos,” three figures seem to stand above animal skeletal remains, which the passage of time will transform into fossils. De la Vega’s intense, bold outlines lend his figures a sense of anxiety as they contemplate the grim destiny of all things alive.
